Fern Street footpath

Council is building a new footpath connecting Station Street to Fern Street in Mullumbimby. The project has been made possible thanks to $711,800 in funding from the NSW Government.

The 200 metres of new footpath will be built on the southern side of Fern and Stations Streets and will continue to Stuart Street.

Work will take around one month to complete, weather permitting. Work started in early June and it is expected to be completed by early July. 

Road widening and new kerbing will also be installed on the corner of Fern Street and Station Street.

The works are a priority project of Council’s Pedestrian Access and Mobility Plan.

During work there will be minor impacts on residents including:

  • Potential short traffic delays.
  • Some construction noise.
  • Work hours will be Monday to Friday from 7am to 5pm.
