Section 307 Certificate of Compliance

Apply for a Section 307 Certificate of Compliance if your development includes:

  • erecting, enlarging, or extending a building
  • placing or relocating a building on land
  • subdividing land
  • changing the use of land or of any building situated on the land.

A Section 307 certificate ensures your development or subdivision has adequate water and wastewater services. 

Council or a Building Certifier will tell you if need to apply for a Section 307 Certificate of Compliance.

Usually this happens once you have submitted your Development Application or Complying Development Certificate Application.

You must apply for a separate S307 Compliance Certificate for each stage of the Construction Certificate.
