Lot 12 Bayshore Drive, Byron Bay, is a Council-owned 5.8 hectare block of land in the Byron Arts and Industry Estate, opposite the Sunrise Shopping Centre.
Vision
Council's vision is for Lot 12 is to be an innovation precinct - a place to learn, collaborate and connect.
The development of Lot 12 is guided by the recommendations of:
Subdivision
The site is being subdivided into three lots.
Lot 1 will potentially be sold to and developed by Creative Capital.
Creative Capital was the successful Expression of Interest applicant, for the remainder of the site's development and planning.
Lot 2 will be leased to TAFE for a Connected Learning Centre and remain owned by Council.
Work has started and the facility is expected to open in 2023.
Lot 3 will also remain owned by Council because of environmental values.
