Parking

• Main carpark has 228 + 3 mobility spaces.
• Southern car park has 11 long vehicles and 86 car spaces.
• Sections of the car park can be hired.

Foyer

Our foyer is spacious, with tables and chairs for comfort and visitors waiting. There are two vending machines and a filtered water fountain. 

Lost property

The Cavanbah Centre is not responsible for personal property left at the venue.

Due to the high volume of sporting activity and events in our venue we are unable to store lost items for long periods of time. If it is within the week but can’t guarantee it, you item may be in the lost property area located in the foyer area.

Where possible and any big events items will be returned to the sporting club or event organiser.

After checking the lost property area in the foyer, please contact the organising party directly for lost items.

1. Login to Bookable to make a booking. If it’s your first time using Bookable you will need to register first. 
2. Select Venue Type Cavanbah Centre Facility and Sports Fields 
3. Search using Activity Type and Date 
4. Select Explore Venue to see what’s available, venue details, images and documents.
5. Select Book Venue and complete all your booking details. 

   Please include set up and pack down times in your booking request. Minimum booking is 1 hour. Half day is up to 6 hours. Full day is up to 12 hours.

6. Check your booking details, read and agree to the Terms and Conditions then select Complete. 
7. Pay for your booking via Bookable or in person at the Cavanbah Centre. 
8. We will review your booking and confirm details by email within 2 working days.

• Have a valid Certificate of Currency of Public Liability Insurance to the value of $20 million in which Byron Shire Council is listed as an interested party.  

Hire is per court or per room, part space hire is not possible.

The Cavanbah Centre has the capacity to hold meetings and functions to suit many occasions.

We have competitive rates with the latest in technology including a state-of-the-art ATV equipment.

We are able to provide catering in the form of tea and coffee. Food is outsourced and there is a catering company onsite. 

Meeting room 

The meeting room is a perfect space for a smaller business or conference meeting.

• Fully air-conditioned.
• Board room or classroom design set-up.
• Mobile AV system.
• Audio System (external control).
• Wireless Internet.

Multi-function rooms

Our multi-function rooms can cater for any community, cultural or recreational activities.

The rooms are equipped with:

• Floor to ceiling mirrors.
• Dance bar. 
• Fully air-conditioned.
• polished timber flooring.

Other activities such as karate, meditation, massage and writing workshops have been facilitated in the large space of our multi-function rooms. They can also be hired for functions, birthday parties or wedding receptions.

Sports fields and outdoor courts

At the Cavanbah Centre we have three outdoor courts and five sports fields available to hire for activities such as:

• AFL
• Athletics
• Basketball and netball
• Cricket
• Soccer
• Ultimate frisbee.

We also have a 1,021-metre circuit suitable for cycle training and racing.

Court Hire 

You can come in and use our facilities as an individual, a club or a group. The courts can be hired by groups for competition games and training.

The sports hall includes:

• Two full size courts with Olympic standard flooring.
• Floor markings for basketball, netball, volleyball, badminton, pickleball and futsal.
• Tiered seating for spectators.
• Change rooms and showers.
