Stronger Country Communities Grants

Byron Shire Council has been applying for NSW Government's Stronger Country Communities funding since its inception in 2017.

The funding has directly contributed to the construction and upgrade of numerous community facilities across the Shire.

Stronger Country Communities Fund Round Five

In 2023, Council was successful in obtaining funding under Round 5 of the Stronger Country Communities Fund.

$1,236,956 was awarded to support the Old Byron Hospital Redevelopment.

The project is expected to be finished mid 2024.
