Applications open for 2025 Events and Festivals Sponsorship Fund

Applications are now open for Byron Shire Council’s Events and Festivals Sponsorship Fund.

The $30,000 fund is designed to support local events and festivals that have a positive impact on the local community.

The events must generate positive environmental, social and economic outcomes in the Shire.

Sharyn French, Manager Environmental and Economic Planning, said events play an important role in making the Byron Shire a great place to live and contribute to building a vibrant community.

“Planning an event can be very challenging, especially in today’s economic climate and the aim of the fund is for Council to provide some financial support that can be used for things like helping organisers reduce the event’s environmental impact, education on sustainability or ensuring the event is accessible for all people.” Ms French said.

Up to 10 events will be considered for funding.

The closing date for applications is 31 October 2024.
