A much-needed upgrade of a section of Booyong Road is set to start in the last week of January.

The work will be along 2.9km of the road starting near the intersection of Bangalow Road at Clunes.

With a project cost of around $1 million, Council will be reconstructing the road and doing some drainage improvements.

“I know that people who use Booyong Road every day will be very pleased to hear that we are able to do this work because the section we will be improving is in very poor shape,” Sam Frumpui, Manager Works, said.

The project is expected to take approximately seven weeks and while the road will remain open to local traffic, there could be significant delays at different times.

Information about the Booyong Road reconstruction is on Council’s website.

This project is funded by the NSW Government’s Regional Emergency Road Repair Fund.
