Repairs underway on damaged parking meters in Bruns

It’s ‘business as usual’ for pay parking around the Byron Shire, in Byron Bay and Brunswick Heads.
More than 7000 residents are now using their free Shire Resident Permits - thank you to everyone who has applied,” Council’s Director Infrastructure, Phil Holloway said.
Visitors to Brunswick Heads are asked to use the QR Code on the parking meters or the Pay Stay app when parking in a metered space while the town’s damaged meters are repaired over the next two weeks.
We’ll have staff and technicians out repairing the vandalised meters over the next two weeks so the meters will be coming back online one by one and will be fully operational again very soon,” Mr Holloway said.
If you do pull up in a space with a damaged meter during this time, please use the QR code or Pay Stay App,” he said.
We stand by the local community in condemning these acts of violence and vandalism,” Mr Holloway said.
The Pay Stay App should be downloaded from the App Store or Google Play to avoid redirection to fraudulent websites.
