Water main works have now been completed as part of the Rifle Range Road Intersection Upgrade project at Bangalow.

The stormwater drainage and culverts have also now been completed and the contractor is moving onto building the road pavement, footpaths, and bus stops.

Council’s Director of Infrastructure Services, Phil Holloway, said he was pleased to see the work progressing, but acknowledged the delays in getting the project completed.

“Due to wet weather throughout the project, such as in mid-August, and delays with the watermain relocation, we have had some setbacks with getting the project completed by early September as planned. We want to thank residents and road users for their continued patience, while we get this project completed,” Mr Holloway said.

“We will now focus on sealing road pavement on the corner of Lismore Road and Rifle Range Road and restoration work including tree planting,” Mr Holloway said.

The expected completion date for this project is now early to mid October 2024.
