Residential Strategy

The Residential Strategy provides a vision and framework for how we deliver future housing in our towns and villages over the next 20 years.

We want residents to feel part of a community where there is a choice of homes to suit their current and future needs.

At the 14 March 2024 meeting, Council resolved to approve the Byron Shire Residential Strategy 2041, with amendments.

The Residential Strategy 2041 was then sent to the NSW Department of Planning, Housing & Infrastructure (DPHI) for endorsement. Council received conditional endorsement in June 2024.
