Water main renewal works - Byron Bay

We are upgrading the water main pipes along sections of Fletcher Street and Bangalow Road, Byron Bay. 

These works will strengthen the water supply network's resilience in servicing many businesses in the town’s CBD.  

Fletcher Street water main works

Repair and replacement of water main pipes under sections of Fletcher Street have now been completed. See map below.

Bangalow Road water main works

We have almost completed repair and replacement of water main pipes under a 1 km section of Bangalow Road in Byron Bay. See map below.  

This is a longer program of works due to the length of water main needing renewal. There have been some delays to finishing this work and we are now expecting to complete work by mid-December weather depending.

Crews will be working in the road shoulder with traffic and public safety management in place to slow and divert pedestrians and traffic as needed. 

Pedestrians should use the western footpath while construction is underway and dismount off their bike along construction areas.
