Information about making a submission
During the exhibition period anyone may make a submission to the DA. If a submission is made by way of objection, the grounds of objection must be included in the submission.
Unless the Independent Planning Commission has conducted a public hearing, you may appeal to the Land and Environment Court if you make a submission objecting to the DA and you are dissatisfied with the determination of the consent authority.
If the Independent Planning Commission conducts a public hearing, the Commission’s determination of the application is final and not subject to appeal.
If you are making a submission, you may be required to lodge a Political Donations and Gifts Disclosure Statement. It is your responsibility to ensure you meet your obligations to disclose reportable political donations and gifts. A failure to meet your obligations is an offence.

Submissions will be made public in accordance with the GIPA Regulations 2009. This includes the substance of the objection and the identity of the objector.
