A Plan of Management guides decisions on managing and using public land classified as community land.

We have updated the Draft Plan of Management for Lot 22, 156 Stuart St, Mullumbimby to ensure it covers the full extent of the Mullumbimby Community Gardens.

Feedback has now closed. A report will go to Council for a decision in February 2025.

What has been updated?

  • The boundary of the Community Garden has been extended to align with their current footprint.
  • This section of land is being re-categorised from Sportsground to General Community Use.
  • The High Environmental Value vegetation on the northern boundary is being categorised to Natural Area - Bushland.
  • References to affordable housing have been removed.
  • The location of the dog park has been included.

Public Hearing

When new or amended, categorisations are applied to Community land a public hearing is required.

We held a public hearing on 23 October 2024.
