In August 2022 we asked for feedback to inform the development of the draft Bangalow Sports Fields Plan of Management.
We received more than 200 submissions.
Throughout April and May we asked for feedback on the Draft Bangalow Sports Fields Plan of Management and supporting Landscape Masterplan.

- Layout and lighting of sports fields.
- Change rooms and amenities.
- Car parking.
- Accessibility.

Your feedback will help to inform the final Plan. This will then be taken to Council to be adopted.
Feedback from earlier consultation with community
As part of a review into the Bangalow Sports Fields Plan of Management, we asked for feedback from the local community, as well as the wider community, on:
- How people currently use the sports fields.
- What facilities and amenities people would like to see upgraded.
- What the community’s priorities are.
Key findings from community and stakeholder engagement identified the community’s priorities for Bangalow Sports Fields include:
- Including seating and shade around the sports fields (35%)
- Improvements to the playing fields (34%), including the addition of netball courts to the sports fields complex and the drainage of the sports fields.
- Improvements to parking (33%) to serve the sports fields and the Bowling Club
- The addition of safety lighting in the sports fields and around the walking tracks (27%)
- Accessibility for people with a disability (24%), including access onto the sports fields, suitable amenities, and playground.
