Owners consent to lodge an application

You can use this form to demonstrate that all owners have consented to the lodging of the application where Council is the consent authority. 

Applicants must ensure all relevant owner’s details are provided in both the Planning Portal and on this form to prevent delays.

Guidelines for owners consent

Torrens title

  • All owner/s of the property are to sign the form.
  • If the property has multiple owners, use the form to collect all signatures OR
  • Attach a separate letter signed by each owner.

Strata Title

Where development does not affect common land

  • All owners of the relevant strata unit are required to give approval to submit an application.
  • If the Strata has multiple owners use the form to collect all signatures or 
  •  Attach a separate letter signed by each owner.

Where development affects common land

  • All owners of the Strata Plan are required to give approval to submit an application.
  • If the Strata property has multiple ownersuse the form to collect all signatures or 
  • Attach a separate letter signed by each owner.

OR

Affixing the Owners Corporation Seal.

OR

  • The Strata Managing Agent of the Owners Corporation sign the form and affix the owner’s corporation seal.
  • If the Strata Manager is a corporation, the form must be signed by the president, chairperson or other principal officer of the corporation (or by any member of the staff authorised to do so by the president, chairperson or other principal officer).

Company/Organisation

Consent by Directors

The consent must be given by:

  • Two directors of the company, or
  • One director and a company secretary, or
  • Sole Director of a proprietary company.

Consent by Company Seal

By affixing the company seal and consent given by:

  • Two directors of the company, or
  • One director and a company secretary, or
  • Sole director of a proprietary company

Multiple Occupancy

  • All owner/s of the property are to sign the form.
  • If the property has multiple owners use the form to collect all signatures or
  • Attach a separate letter signed by each owner.

Community Title

  • Letter of authorisation or stamp from the Community Title Neighbourhood Association.
