Works complete at Sherry Bridge

Works to restore and rehabilitate the banks around Sherrys Bridge, Main Arm started in December 2024.

The aim of these works was to replace the rock protection underneath the bridge and address erosion.

In December, Soil Conservation Service, completed soil works next to the site.

Council completed the rock protection work in mid-January. 

NSW Government has also completed separate work and is now restoring the site. 

Works included

  • Repairs to the western bridge rock protection.
  • Tree planting and grass seeding to rehabilitate the bank.
  • Construction of a temporary access ramp (for construction team only). 
  • Installing geofabric and armour rocks to create a protective layer.
